Blood Meridian; or, the Evening Redness in the West
Cormac McCarthy | 1985
"Spectre horsemen, pale with dust, anonymous in the crenellated heat."
I read a huge chunk of Cormac McCarthy's work in high school and this is the one that has returned to me over and over again.
It's like reading a myth, an epic poem, like something a thousand times greater than myself.

Death Note
Tsugimi Ohba | 2003-2006
"In my hands, the means...In my heart, the will."
I found the anime a little unbearable and reading this a lot more captivating. It's a classic, no need to elaborate!!

The Road
Cormac McCarthy | 2006
"In the deep glens where they lived all things were older than man and they hummed of mystery."
I think the only book that has ever brought me to tears.
So moving and I won't tolerate any criticism about McCarthy's prose.

The Way of the Tarot
Alejandro Jodorowsky & Marianne Costa | 2004
"How does one write a book about the Tarot? It is like trying to empty the sea with a fork."
My personal favorite introduction to Tarot! Jodorowsky is a living legend.

The Woman in the Dunes
Kobo Abe | 1962
"Do you shovel to survive, or survive to shovel?"
Crazy weird in all the right ways. Claustrophobic and you can really feel it.
