My senior thesis film! I was deeply inspired after taking a documentary class, watching things like "

Our Daily Bread"

and "

High School,"

and I came to see documentary as a much less rigid genre.

The main theme of my film is a tarot spread I pulled for myself, and through montages of archival footage the film itself acts as the reading.

Making this really challenged me not only as a filmmaker through visuals, editing, and sound, but also as a tarot reader; I needed the reading to walk a fine line between my interpretation of the cards and the viewer's freedom to create meaning.

I love working with archival media (rummaging through Internet Archive is one of my pasttimes), and I'm really proud of this project!
